Our History And Mission

Edmund Street Activity Centre was founded to provide high-quality, person-centred day care for adults aged 16+. We recognised a need for a friendly, safe and structured environment. Where people could grow in confidence, make friends and enjoy enriching daily activities.

We understand that finding the right service for your loved one or the person that you care for is just as important to you too. You may be in employment alongside your caring role. You may be a full-time care giver. Or you may have your own health needs. Having some time for yourself is vital for your own health and wellbeing. But we know that being in the knowledge that your loved one or the person that you care for is safe and happy is even more important to you.

Whether you are looking for a service for yourself, a loved one or a person that you provide care and support to. We want you to feel confident and comfortable with our service and in our company. At Edmund Street Activity Centre we enjoy building relationships that last. We support people using our service to develop friendships by promoting acceptance and understanding.

The Role Of The Edmund Street AC Team

The support team here at Edmund Street Activity Centre are amazing. Every staff member is kind, compassionate, qualified, skilled and experienced in their roles.

All staff receive ongoing annual mandatory training to meet both CQC and Derbyshire County Council Training requirements

Kind compassionate and caring

CQC and DCC Approved training

Enhanced DBS Checked

Specialist trained to meet complex needs

They dedicate themselves to ensuring that you or your loved one, or person that you care for has an enjoyable time and is cared for to a very high standard.

The main objective is to entertain and to facilitate social interaction. We design and deliver fun activities and prepare a two-course meal with a range of options daily. We ensure the centre's cleanliness is maintained and care for people who access our service like they are their own family.

We believe that good quality training is face-to-face training. It is important to all of us here at Edmund Street Activity Centre to learn in a suitable environment via the guidance of a training provider.

Kindness and compassion is right at the top of the qualities we look for in our support team members. All of which sets Edmund Street Activity Centre apart from other service providers.
